With an expanding customer base I am looking for a talented and passionate tailor/seamstress to join me and help me meet the growing demand for services.Position Overview:Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented tailor or seamstress to assist or manage a variety of alterations and dressmaking projects. This role will involve working on a wide range of garments, from casual wear to formal attire, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. As part of the team, you'll play an essential role in maintaining our reputation for quality service and creating beautiful, well-fitted garments.Key Responsibilities:Perform alterations on a variety of garments, including dresses, suits, trousers, shirts, etc.Take accurate measurements and advise customers on the best alterations for their needs.Work on custom-made garments and special dressmaking projects.Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clients are satisfied with the final results.Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace.Keep track of orders and meet deadlines.Assist with minor repairs and re-styling when needed.Collaborate to handle the growing workload and ensure smooth operations.Requirements:Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress, ideally in a commercial or bespoke tailoring environment.Strong skills in hand-sewing, machine sewing, and fitting.Ability to work with different types of fabrics and garment styles.High attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with bridal, evening wear, or couture garments is a bonus.Knowledge of pattern-making and garment design is a plus.Compensation:Competitive salary based on experience.
