Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist passionate about developing and improving the Johnson & Johnson Environmental Program, ensuring compliance with IE Licence, Environmental Regulations, and Corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the site's Environmental Program.
2. Ensure compliance with the IE License and other regulatory requirements.
3. Ensure compliance with Corporate Environmental Standards, Goals, and Objectives.
4. Prepare and submit required reports to the EPA, Corporate, and other partners timely and accurately.
5. Collect, analyze, and report environmental data as per IE Licence and Corporate requirements.
6. Develop and achieve environmental goals and objectives in partnership with senior management and stakeholders.
7. Maintain ISO14001 registration and ensure ongoing compliance.
8. Lead preparations for and conduct environmental audits with regulators, corporate, and certifying bodies.
9. Conduct regular environmental inspections and systems audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
10. Serve as the primary environmental site contact and manage report submissions.
11. Collaborate with the Sustainability and Energy Teams on site sustainability strategies.
12. Oversee key environmental equipment in conjunction with Facilities.
13. Investigate environmental events, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
14. Provide environmental awareness and training to employees.
15. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
16. Support other EHS program aspects as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Third-level qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline (B.Sc./B.E. preferred).
* At least 5 years of experience managing an environmental program at an IE Licensed Facility.
* Practical experience with ISO14001 Management System.
* Experience dealing with EPA and regulators.
* Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, incident investigation, and project management skills.
* Data management, reporting capabilities, and excellent IT skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of safety management systems.
