This position is an opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division and is based in The Embankment, Sligo Town. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Main Purpose of the role
In this role you will be part of the TPM Finance team. As an Senior Accountant, you will play a key role to support Abbott Diabetes Care Irish Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM) operations. You will be reporting to the TPM Controller and should be able to understand and apply complex concepts, identify risks, propose recommendations and solutions to issues.
Main Responsibilities :
Ensure accounting practices are in compliance with Abbott Policy
Ensure month end reporting is carried out efficiently and as timely as possible.
Provide financial support to other departments to assist in goal achievements.
Assist in preparing LBE's and long range plans
Ownership of standard cost setting processes
Entity Accounting & Quarterly CSO submissions
Prepare performance statements and conduct variance analysis
Any other finance work as required by the Pant Controller
Education And Competencies Required
Minimum 5 years of accounting / financial planning and analysis experience, with manufacturing / costing background preferred;
BS in Accounting / Finance required;
Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.
Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
Third level relevant qualification and Accountancy qualification with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA designation.
Knowledge of ERP systems and a high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint applications. SAP experience is ideal
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively interact with Senior Leadership.
