Ayrton Group are seeking an experienced EHS Lead to join our client, a leading Engineering services group, on a project in the Dublin 18 region.
The EHS Lead will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver completion of this project. The EHS Led will be responsible for providing specialist advice and support on all matters relating to the Environment, Health, Safety and Welfare across site and ensure the company's safety standards are effectively implemented.
This is an initial 6 month contract role with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting regular formal site audits and carrying out inspections as directed in the Safety Management system.
* Coaching and mentoring staff in creating a positive safety culture.
* Participating in external EHS Audits with relevant closeout.
* Reviewing RAMS/Subcontractor documentation.
* Communicating findings of the audits to site management and Commercial EHS Manager and assisting in the closure of issues in line with company policy.
* Assessing the EHS function to identify areas for improvement and developing new initiatives.
* Investigating and analysing incidents and identifying root causes.
* Providing training and information to the workforce using appropriate training aids and media, communicating, and promoting initiatives for accident prevention and greater EHS awareness.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant Level 7 EHS qualification is essential.
* 5 - 10 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
* Thorough knowledge of relevant environmental Health & Safety legislation.
* Experience working in the Construction Sector.
* A Mechanical background would be advantageous.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
