About the Role
We're seeking an experienced
Technical Manager
to lead a dedicated technical and hygiene team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in driving food safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting operational excellence across the site.
You'll oversee all aspects of food safety, quality systems, and compliance while partnering closely with production, supply chain, and new product development teams. This is a leadership position for someone who thrives on accountability, continuous improvement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and embed a strong
food safety and quality culture
across the business.
* Manage and develop the
Technical Team
, providing mentorship and clear direction.
* Ensure full
compliance with food safety regulations and standards
(e.g. BRCGS, DAFM).
* Oversee all
internal and external audits
, ensuring the site is always inspection-ready.
* Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site's
HACCP plan
.
* Manage
non-conformance investigations
, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
* Oversee the
Quality Management System
, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
* Lead
data management and reporting
for performance and validation metrics.
* Manage
customer and regulatory complaints
, product recalls, and incident resolutions.
* Ensure
robust traceability systems
for effective incident management.
* Collaborate with
Production, Supply Chain, and NPD
to ensure quality and process efficiency.
* Provide
technical guidance and compliance support
for product development and customer requirements.
* Lead and support the
Process Compliance Team
, ensuring effective training and performance management.
* Foster a
culture of inclusion, improvement, and food safety awareness
throughout the organisation.
* Ensure
technical governance
meets all internal, external, legal, and customer audit requirements.
