Job Opportunity: Safeguarding Specialist
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced safeguarding specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in Meath. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a difference in adult safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Screen and assess safeguarding concerns related to elder abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and coercive control.
* Conduct risk assessments, triage cases, and make recommendations for further intervention.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community partners, and legal services to ensure effective safeguarding outcomes.
* Engage with families, caregivers, and external agencies to promote best practices.
* Provide guidance and support decision-making based on national safeguarding policies and frameworks.
* Maintain accurate documentation and case notes.
Essential Criteria:
* CORU registered Social Worker (essential).
* Proven experience in adult safeguarding, social work leadership, or related fields.
* Strong knowledge of HSE Safeguarding Policy, risk assessment, and intervention strategies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and advocacy skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Full clean driving licence and access to transport.
* Valid Garda and overseas clearances (if applicable).
