Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our client’s thriving convenience store in South Dublin. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, managing staff, overseeing inventory, and ensuring the smooth running of the store.
Responsibilities:
* Be actively involved of day to day running of a store
* Manage a team and assist the Store Manager
* To achieve sales targets as agreed with management
* To achieve a strong gross profit margin
* To ensure your management team are effective, organised and achieving success
* Merchandising skills to up sell
* Mentor, and lead by example
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a convenience store or supermarket
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering a positive experience
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
* Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
