We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our team in Children's Services Cork, Lavanagh Centre, Curraheen, Cork.
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: Up to 35 hours per week
Salary Scale: €59,662 to €70,623 pro rata per annum.
Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments)
This pay scale is subject to increases in **** in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days
Overview of the Post: Under the lead agency of Enable Ireland and within the Progressing Disability Services Model, CHO4 Physical Disability Support Service (PDSS) provides support to clinicians, children and families attending CDNTs and Primary Care.
The service includes assessment diagnostics and intervention for children with physical disability and works on the development of clinical competencies in teams working with children with complex physical disabilities.
The post holder will work as a senior Physiotherapist within the CHO4 PDSS providing services to children 0 – 18 years and families within the region.
The post holder will provide a physiotherapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention for children with a physical disability, and the development of clinical competencies in teams working with children.

The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications & Experience: Candidates for appointment must: · Hold a physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapy Registration Board at CORU.
AND · Be registered, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapy Registration Board at CORU.
AND · All candidates must have a minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification clinical experience in the area of paediatric (0-18 years) physical disability, AND physical disability motor management (ie: Complex Postural and Physical assessments)
AND · Experience working with external agencies, to include assessments and service plans in providing motor management services.
AND · All candidates must demonstrate a proven record of worked experience in the area of physical disability.
· On appointment clinicians must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapist Register maintained by the Physiotherapist Registration Board at CORU
AND · Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU To Enable Ireland.
· Must be eligible to work in the State
Desirable Criteria: Experience of a service delivery model that operates at a primary and regional team level.
· Postgraduate education in the area of postural management
· SeatTech Level 1 & Level 2 seating assessment training course attendance, or equivalent
· Training and experience in the supervision of staff and/or students
· Experience and interest in relevant research initiatives
