We work with a strong clinical ethos based on psychodynamic/psychoanalytic foundations, emotional development, symbolic play, creativity, and compassionate family-centred care.We are expanding our Child & Youth Department and are now opening 1 position for a clinician with experience in child psychotherapy and adolescent mental health. ROLE OVERVIEWThe professional will provide psychotherapy for children and adolescents using:Play therapy skillsSymbolic/ludic workPsychodynamic understanding of child developmentCreative interventionsParental guidance sessions when neededThe clinician will work closely with families, schools, GPs and allied health professionals, always maintaining high standards of ethics, confidentiality and safeguarding. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS;-Professional registration (mandatory) - (Aligned to Irish regulations)- Must hold at least ONE of the following valid registrations in Ireland:PSI – Psychological Society of Ireland IACP (Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy)IAHIP, IAPTP, APPI, ICP or equivalent recognised psychotherapy board- Must hold their own Professional Indemnity Insurance, providing adequate cover for clinical practice in Ireland. If you don't have insurance in place, we can help you get it setup before commencing the role.-Work authorisationValid Irish/EU citizenship, or Stamp 1G/Stamp 4ability to legally work in Ireland-Clinical experience Minimum 3 years working with children and / or adolescents Confidence in play-based psychotherapy, symbolic expression, emotional developmentStrong grounding and interest in Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Therapy approaches.Our practice is based on psychoanalysis, so we will consider candidates with training in the area or areas that talk to each other in the psychodynamics.-Experience with emotional, behavioural, developmental and relational difficulties Experienceproviding short- and long-term psychotherapy for children and adolescents presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, including anxiety, emotional dysregulation, behavioural challenges, school-related stress, grief, developmental concerns, and trauma-related symptoms.-Experience working with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including immigrant families, LGBTQIA+ youth, and children from ethnic, linguistic, religious and cultural minority groups.Languages;Fluent English (oral + written) — mandatoryBilingual applicants (Portuguese/English or another language) are a strong plus, but not required DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE(Not mandatory, but preferred)Experience supporting:neurodiversity (ADHD, ASD profiles)anxiety, grief, transitions, emotional regulationimmigrant families / multicultural contextsExperience with parental sessionsExperience with school reports, multidisciplinary liaison.
