Role Overview:
The Regional Facilities Manager (Lifecycle) will serve as the primary point of contact for all escalations related to Hard Services maintenance across Penneys stores in the Munster region. This role is also responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of lifecycle upgrades, across the Island of Ireland, ensuring that all assets are replaced in a timely, costeffective manner. The successful candidate will drive value for money and ensure the delivery of bestinclass products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the main escalation point for all Hard Services maintenance issues across Munster Penneys stores.
* Lead and manage the lifecycle replacement programme, including planning, budgeting, and execution of asset upgrades across the Island of Ireland portfolio.
* Conduct regular asset condition surveys to assess performance, identify risks, and recommend timely replacements.
* Develop and maintain an asset register with lifecycle data to support capital planning and investment decisions.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure compliance, quality, and timely delivery of works.
* Ensure all lifecycle works align with corporate standards, sustainability goals, and operational requirements.
* Provide technical guidance and support to store teams and maintenance providers.
* Monitor and report on budget performance, cost savings, and value engineering opportunities.
* Support the development of preventative maintenance strategies to extend asset life and reduce reactive interventions.
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
* Commercially developing the contract to grow through adding additional services and delivering additional projects
* Attend client meetings which could be held weekly (operational), monthly (review) or quarterly (strategic) and take the lead to represent Mitie and drive for a service of excellence
* Ensure that all PPM and Reactive calls, SLA's and KPI's, including the Company's set targets, are met for the contract
* To support the development of new sales, ensuring continuous growth
* Develop and demonstrate energy initiatives across the portfolio to improve consumption. To provide management information/reporting as required
* Advocating and facilitating a mindset that encompasses factbased decision making and collaboration
* Developing and implementing effective communications plans to engage with stakeholders that are impacted by change or improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in facilities management, ideally within a retail or multisite environment.
* Strong knowledge of Hard Services, building systems, and asset lifecycle planning.
* Experience in project management, contractor supervision, and budget control.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to analyse technical data and produce clear, actionable reports.
* Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Building Services, or Facilities Management preferred.
