Anderson Mc Que is working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Site-Based SHEQ Manager for major construction projects in Dublin.

The Role
Reporting to the Site Contract Manager and working closely with site teams, the SHEQ Manager will take responsibility for overseeing Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) compliance across multiple live projects.
You will play a key role in driving behavioural safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across all site activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support site management in ensuring compliance with workplace safety legislation and internal SHEQ procedures
Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance through audits, inspections and site walks
Review and support job-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Identify safety risks and work with site teams to implement practical control measures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date SHEQ documentation and records
Act as the internal point of contact for audits, regulators and third-party inspectors
Track, report and investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, recommending corrective actions
Present SHEQ updates and performance metrics at site management meetings
Assist with safety training coordination, toolbox talks and site inductions
Support the delivery of Fire, Environmental and Emergency Rescue drills
Promote behavioural safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead SHEQ coaching and engagement across site teams
Support ongoing compliance with ISO standards:

Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in a site-based SHEQ management role within civil engineering or construction (Ireland preferred)
NEBOSH Diploma or Certificate (held for 3+ years)
Awareness of Lifting Operations and Temporary Works
Strong IT skills, including digital construction platforms and Microsoft Word & Excel
Right to work in Ireland
