The successful candidate will be accountable for the delivery of major projects with a focus on scope, budget, schedule, and risk as part of a major capital investment programme.The Lead Project Management Engineer will act as the Contracting Entity’s representative, responsible for managing the project from planning and design through to successful completion and commissioning. They will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specifications, achieving all project goals and objectives in accordance with the Employer’s requirements and strategic intent.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee and monitor project delivery regarding schedule, interface, cost, variations, contract, and risk, liaising with relevant team members.Develop the Project Execution Plan aligned with the Contracting Entity’s standards.Coordinate project interfaces at all stages of the lifecycle.Manage design consultants and external service providers.Conduct stakeholder consultations.Report monthly on project tasks, including during construction phases.Maintain and update the project risk register regularly.Identify opportunities for improving project management procedures and templates.Review contractor’s design and deliverables in detail.Manage contracts effectively.Key Requirements:Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in construction/infrastructure projects of similar size and complexity.Relevant third-level qualification in engineering or related field.Project management qualifications such as PMP or PRINCE II are advantageous.Good knowledge of health & safety legislation and regulations.Strong experience in project management methodologies.Technical expertise in water engineering.Experience in contract administration and project delivery.Ability to establish procedures for information review and collection.Experience with on-site operations is an advantage.Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Experience as a client’s project manager preferred.Excellent stakeholder management skills across organizational levels.Self-motivation and strong communication skills.Ability to drive outcomes and meet standards.Planning skills and familiarity with Oracle Primavera 6 are advantageous.Strong report writing skills.About UsOur mission is to deliver sustainable solutions that transform communities and promote lasting positive change.
