Employee Relations Specialist (15 Month FTC) Hybrid Sanderson is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join a high-performing People team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, relationship-focused HR environment and enjoys supporting managers, employees, and union partners across a wide range of ER matters. Core Responsibilities Providing expert advice to people leaders on policies, employment legislation, and best practice ER approaches. Responding to ER queries and managing cases in line with company policies and procedures. Supporting and attending union meetings and ensuring agreed actions are completed. Developing and managing investigation plans and identifying training needs to strengthen ER capability. Assisting in the creation of performance support plans. Conducting investigations into grievances, complaints, ethics concerns, discrimination, harassment, and related issues. Monitoring ER trends and market practices to support continuous improvement. Building strong, positive relationships with employees to enhance engagement. Skills & Experience 3+ years' Employee Relations experience. CIPD qualification, Employment Law qualification, or an ER-related certification. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and external ER mechanisms. Experience managing union relationships within a large or complex organisation. Excellent communication, organisation, and workload-prioritisation skills.
