About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Social Care Manager, leading our Children's Residential Services team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of two residential centers, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and national standards.
This role requires strong leadership, governance, and operational oversight to create a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment for young people and team members. You will work closely with our team to implement models of best practice, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and promote the rights and responsibilities of each young person in the centers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
* Manage the centers in compliance with relevant legislation and national standards.
* Evaluate and improve center operations, implementing changes as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with GDPR and HIQA requirements.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures related to budgets, health and safety, team supervision, training, appraisals, and recruitment.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and excellence throughout the team.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced leader who has a proven track record of managing teams and achieving goals. If you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and are able to develop and implement effective policies and procedures, we encourage you to apply.
Candidate Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in social care.
* An appropriate qualification (Level 7 on the QQI scale or higher) in social care, meeting HIQA requirements for Person in Charge and CORU registration criteria.
* A QQI Level 6 qualification in Leadership or working towards it.
* Working knowledge of HIQA National Standards for Children's Residential Centers and associated regulations and guidance.
* A minimum of five years' experience of working in a social care grade in a children's residential center, as relevant to the role.
* Suitable standard of professional attainments.
* Requisite knowledge and ability, including high standard of suitability and management ability for the proper discharge of duties.
