MRO Engineer role at Dexcom.

Responsibilities
* Work with engineers to identify, classify, and catalogue spare parts based on equipment specifications.
* Maintain accurate Preventative Maintenance (PM) BOMs and ensure alignment with PM schedules.
* Evaluate part interchangeability and obsolescence risks.
* Collaborate with maintenance and reliability engineers to define critical spares and min / max levels.
* Analyse equipment failure data to recommend spare part stocking strategies.
* Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions involving parts and materials.
* Provide technical specifications for procurement of parts and materials.
* Evaluate supplier technical documentation and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
* Utilize CMMS/ERP systems (Maximo/Oracle) to manage part records and maintenance history (track inventory, work orders, and part usage).
* Develop and maintain engineering databases for spare parts standardization and optimization.
* Generate technical reports on inventory performance, usage trends, and cost analysis.
* Lead initiatives to standardize parts across equipment and reduce inventory complexity.
* Implement engineering best practices for MRO inventory control and lifecycle management.
* Contribute to digital transformation projects such as predictive maintenance and IoT integration.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
* 5+ years of experience in an engineering or maintenance support role, preferably in high-volume manufacturing in a regulated environment
* Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical components and maintenance engineering
* Proficiency in CMMS/ERP systems and engineering drawing interpretation
* Familiarity with reliability engineering tools
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance
* Good understanding of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
