Your Role at Clorox
As the Global Associate Director of Indirect Procurement, you will be the strategic leader responsible for driving procurement excellence across Business & Professional Services, Marketing & Sales, and Information Technology categories globally. This includes operations in the US, Canada, LATAM, and AMEA, with a combined annual spend responsibility of over $220M.
You will lead the development and execution of long-term category strategies, optimize supplier and agency relationships, and deliver measurable value through cost savings, innovation, and process improvements. As a thought leader, you will bring deep expertise in indirect procurement and collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement strategies with Clorox’s business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Category Management
* Develop and execute global sourcing strategies across Business Services, Marketing & Sales, and IT categories.
* Design and implement a unified procurement vision aligned with Clorox’s growth strategy.
* Lead agency pitches, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations to maximize ROI.
* Drive governance, compliance, and capability building across all subcategories.
* Team Development & Stakeholder Engagement
* Build and lead a high-performing global team of approximately 13 direct reports.
* Train and mentor team members in best-in-class procurement practices.
* Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/agencies.
* Represent Procurement in cross-functional business alignment and prioritization efforts.
* Operational Excellence & Innovation
* Conduct spend analysis, contract audits, and competitive bidding (RFP/RFI).
* Leverage data analytics and digital tools to assess performance and drive insights.
* Implement risk mitigation strategies and vendor management frameworks.
* Promote agility and innovation across procurement processes.
What We Look For
Experience:
* 8–10 years of progressive procurement experience across multiple indirect categories.
* 5+ years of experience leading high-performing procurement teams.
* Proven track record in strategic sourcing, cost savings, and supplier relationship management.
* Experience in international and matrixed organizations.
* Marketing agency sourcing experience (Creative, Media, Insights) and IT procurement knowledge preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
* Strong negotiation, analytical, and influencing skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
* High digital fluency with experience in procurement tech stacks.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex business problems with speed and pragmatism.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, IT, Engineering, or related field.
* MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
