Overview
We are hiring a Data Scientist to support an established team with our Life Science client, working across multi-source data ingestion and analytics, helping shape and deliver usable datasets and insights to internal stakeholders.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone early-career who can ramp quickly and collaborate closely with local stakeholders in Cork.
Key responsibilities
Support end-to-end data work from generation through integration into a data lake
Ingest, clean, and consolidate data from multiple sources
Package and structure datasets so they are usable for teams and downstream consumption
Apply practical data science techniques to support analysis and decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to documentation/knowledge sharing
Required experience & skills
2-3 years' experience in a Data Scientist / Analytics / Data-focused role
Strong Python (or equivalent) for analysis and data handling
Experience working with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources
Familiarity with data lake / data platform concepts (cloud or on-prem)
Solid communication skills / able to explain findings and approach clearly
Nice to have
Exposure to life sciences / lab / regulated environments (GxP awareness)
Experience with modern data tooling (e.g., pipelines/ETL/ELT concepts, SQL, notebooks)
Experience collaborating with data engineering / platform teams
