Project Engineer Role Overview
This position is a key part of our engineering team, responsible for designing and managing projects at our Castlebar and Swinford plants. The successful candidate will be involved in new installations and improvements to existing manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with experience in project management and execution. They will be able to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, consulting with various departments and ensuring work is completed to the specified quality, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work in a safe manner and adhere to all mandatory policies, standards, and procedures.
* Support and adhere to personnel and manufacturing policies and procedures.
* Adhere to the change control management system for all changes to existing processes or implementation of new systems.
* Drive change by assessing opportunities, presenting proposals, gaining support from key stakeholders, assembling relevant team members, obtaining finance, and managing budgets.
* Write design specifications and complete IQ/OQ/PQ activities as part of project execution.
* Perform risk management, translate results into action, and execute implementation plans.
* Plan and prioritize workload to ensure agreed deadlines are achieved.
Requirements:
* Primary degree-level education in engineering (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
* Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
* Desirable: Project Management training.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.
* Experience in construction/facility systems/utility systems/pharmaceutical processing.
* Experience in commissioning.
* Experience in pharmaceutical/medical device.
