Connexus Recruit is partnering with a leading enterprise and business centre in South Dublin to hire a Membership & Community Engagement Executive.
This is a people-first role focused on growing, supporting and activating a strong local business membership community.
The emphasis is on relationships, visibility and engagement with SMEs, start-ups and partners.
Marketing and digital activity form part of the role, but only as a supporting function to promote membership, events and community initiatives.
The Role You will play a visible and hands-on role within a busy enterprise environment, acting as a key connector between members, partners and the wider local business ecosystem.
Your primary focus will be membership growth, retention and participation, ensuring businesses feel connected, supported and represented as part of the network.
Membership & Community Engagement Build and nurture strong relationships with SMEs, start-ups and resident businesses Act as a main point of contact for members, supporting engagement and retention Proactively identify and approach new businesses to join the membership association Represent the organisation at external networking events, meetings and local business forums Strengthen collaboration and connections across the local enterprise community Membership Growth, Partnerships & Advocacy Support the ongoing development and growth of the membership association Build relationships with local authorities, enterprise bodies, universities and government agencies Identify partnership opportunities that add practical value for members Represent and promote the voice of local SMEs in relevant forums and discussions Events, Programmes & Community Activity Plan and deliver business networking events, forums, workshops and masterclasses Support the delivery of training and education programmes in collaboration with partners Coordinate speakers, facilitators and stakeholders Contribute to membership initiatives, awards, competitions and programmes that highlight success stories Marketing & Communications (Supporting Element)Use digital and social media channels to promote membership activity, events and initiatives Create and curate content that highlights member stories, opportunities and successes Support PR, communications and branding activity that raises awareness of the organisation Manage and grow social media engagement in line with agreed priorities, working closely with senior stakeholders What We're Looking For3+ years' experience in a people-facing role involving membership, community engagement, enterprise support, business development or similar A confident networker who enjoys building long-term relationships with SMEs Experience supporting or delivering events, programmes or training initiatives Comfortable representing an organisation externally Practical digital and social media experience, used to support engagement rather than lead strategy Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a visible, on-site role A genuine interest in supporting entrepreneurs, start-ups and local business growth Additional Details On-site role based in South Dublin Full driving licence and access to a car required Strong long-term opportunity as the membership association and business network continue to grow
