A Solar PV Project Manager is involved in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) commercial projects of up to 200 MW of capacity.
Your Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
1. Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
2. Managing project scope, ensuring all aspects are completed on time and within budget
3. Identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
Stakeholder Liaison:
4. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, suppliers, and authorities
5. Providing regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders
6. Ensuring effective communication and coordination among all parties involved.
Site Set Up
7. Conducting site visits to set up construction and welfare sites
Budget and Resource Management:
8. Preparing and managing project budgets
9. Allocating resources effectively to ensure project goals are met
10. Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and minimize risk.
Quality Control and Assurance:
11. Ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications
12. Developing and implementing quality control and assurance processes
13. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
Quality Control and Assurance:
14. Creating a handover document for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team
15. Ensuring a smooth transition from construction to O&M.
16. Your Skills:
17. Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for effective stakeholder management and project delivery.
18. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, and knowledge of solar energy systems are beneficial.
Education/Experience:
19. Education: We require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
20. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project management, in the renewable energy sector, power networks or utilities sectors.
21. MS project or Primavera P6 or project planning software competent
22. MS Excel superuser
23. Full Irish Driving Licence or an International Driving Licence
