Blackstone Motors is a multi-award-winning motor group, and we are looking for a motivated and organized Service & Parts Department Operator to join our busy team in Cavan.
As a main franchise dealer for Renault, Dacia, Nissan, and Opel, we pride ourselves on delivering a premium customer experience and maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence. This role is central to our aftersales operations, ensuring our workshop runs smoothly and our customers stay on the road.
The Role
This is a dual-function role that sits at the heart of our aftersales department. You will be responsible for supporting both the Service Advisors and the Parts Manager to ensure seamless communication between the front desk and the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
* Parts Activity: Identifying, ordering, and receiving parts for our four main franchises; controlling inventory levels and organizing returns.
* Service Support: Assisting Service Advisors with job card preparation, customer check-ins, and updating customers on the status of their vehicles.
* Workshop Liaison: Coordinating with our technicians to ensure they have the correct parts at the right time to minimise vehicle downtime.
* Customer Excellence: Handling telephone and over-the-counter enquiries regarding parts availability and service bookings.
* Administration: Maintaining accurate records within our Dealer Management System (DMS) and ensuring all warranty documentation is correctly processed.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a "people person" with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for the automotive industry.
* Experience: Previous experience in a motor dealership (Parts or Service) is highly desirable, though we will provide training for the right candidate.
* Technical Aptitude: A basic understanding of vehicle components and the ability to navigate electronic parts catalogues.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
* Organization: The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
* Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in standard office software; experience with Keyloop (Drive) or similar DMS is a major plus.
* License: A full, clean Irish driving license is required for this role.
