At Noel Group, we seek an experienced and passionate Catering Head Chef to lead the canteen in a dynamic and high-quality culinary environment. With a focus on delivering exceptional food experiences, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to showcase their skills and take the reins of a bustling kitchen, ensuring the highest food preparation and service standards.
As a Catering Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen's operations, from preparation to managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff. You will ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen is of the highest quality, reflecting creativity and culinary excellence. You will also be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, controlling costs, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standard.
* Lead, train, and develop a team of chefs and kitchen staff to consistently deliver top-quality dishes.
* Manage inventory, stock levels, and food costs to ensure profitability without compromising quality.
* Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in all aspects of kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff and management to ensure smooth service and address any operational challenges.
* Continuously monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements to drive efficiency and maintain high standards.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role, ideally in a high-profile restaurant or hotel.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
* Passion for food and a creative approach to menu development and presentation.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in managing food costs, waste reduction, and kitchen efficiency.
* Must be living in Ireland with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
