Role Overview
A rapidly expanding distributor, headquartered in Athy, Co. Kildare, and active across Ireland, the UK, and international markets, is seeking to appoint an ambitious and results-driven Area Sales Manager to drive growth and expand the company’s commercial footprint across the Leinster region.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is passionate about uncovering and converting new business opportunities. You will play a key role in identifying and securing new clients, developing strategic partnerships, and contributing directly to the company’s revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Leinster region.
* Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients to understand their business needs and propose tailored solutions.
* Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
* Lead negotiations and close high-value deals, ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives.
* Work closely with internal departments (operations, marketing, customer service) to deliver a seamless customer experience.
* Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and accurately report on progress using CRM tools and sales performance metrics.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and drive lead generation.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, or a similar commercial role – ideally within distribution, safety products, or workplace solutions.
* Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrable track record of winning and developing new business.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a hands-on approach to generating results.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse customer needs and craft targeted value propositions.
* Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Full, clean driving licence required.
