Dublin 15, Ireland | Posted on 05/15/2026Role based in Belgium - Rotation plan availableFohntech Group are looking for an experienced Test Pack Manager to join their team in Belgium.The Test Pack Manager is responsible for the planning, preparation, execution, and closeout of piping test packs for pharmaceutical projects. This role ensures that all piping systems are tested, documented, and handed over in compliance with regulatory requirements, project specifications, and quality standards such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). The position plays a key role in system turnover, working closely with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and compile piping test packs in line with P&IDs, isometrics, and line listsDefine system boundaries and ensure correct scope inclusionEnsure all documentation (weld logs, material traceability, inspection records) is completeCoordinate with construction teams to ensure systems are ready for testingPlan and schedule pressure tests, flushing, cleaning, and drying activitiesSupervise or oversee execution of hydrostatic/pneumatic testsEnsure all activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and project QA/QC requirementsInterface with QA/QC to ensure inspections and sign-offs are completedMaintain audit-ready documentation for regulatory inspectionsSupport the Turnover Manager with completion dossiers and test pack turnover to commissioningTrack test pack status and generate progress reportsEnsure redline markups and as-built documentation are completedLiaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teamsAct as the focal point for all test pack-related queriesSupport client inspections and walkthroughsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field5–10+ years of experience in piping systems within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences projectsStrong knowledge of piping codes (e.g., ASME B31.3) and testing requirementsExperience with clean utilities (WFI, clean steam, process gases) preferredFamiliarity with turnover systems and tools (e.g.,PIMS, EIDA, BIM 360 software)Key SkillsStrong understanding of piping systems, isometrics, and P&IDsExcellent organizational and document control skillsKnowledge of validation and commissioning processesAttention to detail and compliance-driven mindsetEffective communication and coordination abilities
