This is a hybrid role combining hands‑on sales support work with day‑to‑day leadership of the Inside Sales team.The purpose of the role is to ensure the Inside Sales Support function operates efficiently, consistently, and in line with agreed processes. The Team Lead provides practical oversight, guidance, and coordination of daily activity, while also contributing directly to team output through their own support workload. The successful candidate will improve sales execution efficiency, drive CRM discipline, and enable Account Directors to spend more time selling by reducing administrative friction.This role works closely with Account Directors, Marketing, and Sales Leadership to ensure the highest levels of service are delivered to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSupportCarry out support activities in line with team standardsManage and support inbound enquiries, follow ups, and opportunity administrationEnsure accurate and timely CRM updates, including opportunity notes, stages, and data hygiene to support reliable forecasting, reporting, and sales decision makingPrepare and maintain sales documentation, records, and supporting informationLead and prioritise daily workloads to meet agreed SLAs, response times, and internal service expectations for the Inside Sales Support teamProvide hands on guidance with task management, follow ups, and workloadAct as the first point of contact for operational queries, issues, or blockersEnsure consistent application of agreed processes, standards, and ways of workingSupport onboarding and day to day enablement of team membersIdentify gaps in execution, CRM quality and address them earlyPromote best practice in opportunity administration and pipeline supportContribute to continuous improvement of Inside Sales Support processes and documentationProvide practical feedback to Sales Leadership on operational issues and improvement opportunitiesAct as a bridge between the Inside Sales Support team and the wider sales organisationReporting & VisibilityTrack and review operational KPIs such as response times, workload volumes, and pipeline accuracyProvide regular updates on team performance, risks, and improvement actionsSupport forecasting and reporting through accurate and up to date CRM dataRequirements5+ years’ experience in an Inside Sales Support or Sales Operations role, with at least 2-3 years in a team lead, mentor, or senior support capacity.Previous experience mentoring, educating, or informally leading sales team membersStrong working knowledge of CRM systems and sales activity tracking.
