Overview

Smartling is seeking a Business Development Representative for a remote, work-from-home position based in Ireland. The Business Development team is composed of highly motivated sales professionals focused on sourcing and engaging high-potential prospects. As the first point of contact with potential customers, you will qualify active buying interest and serve as a critical bridge between marketing and sales to ensure new customer acquisition is consistent, high-quality, and frictionless.

Smartling was founded 14 years ago to make localization and translation seamless. Today, it is profitable, backed by Battery Ventures, and is the only cloud-based, AI-enabled translation platform combining a Neural Machine Translation Hub and professional language services. This empowers teams to collaborate in real-time to create engaging customer experiences.

You Will

* Collaborate with marketing and sales to source and engage prospects
* Develop and execute outreach strategies via email, Zoom, and social channels
* Generate curiosity by articulating Smartling’s value proposition
* Act as a consultative partner, handle questions and objections
* Qualify prospects and facilitate hand-offs to Account Executives
* Record and manage prospect information in Salesforce
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of the product, industry trends, and competitive positioning
* Represent Smartling at industry events and conferences

You Have

* Interest in a sales career
* Track record of top performance in competitive environments
* Passion and curiosity for fast-paced technology
* Clear communication skills and empathy
* Self-starter with problem-solving and teamwork skills
* Excellent written communication skills
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
* 1 year of customer-facing experience
* Home office setup conducive to remote work and ability to work effectively as part of a remote team

Preferred but not required

* Knowledge of sales and marketing tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn, Outreach
* Experience in a fast-paced technology company
