Clinical Nurse Manager 3
on a full time permanent basis
Overview
The CNM3 will be part of a team of 5 CNM 3's and supported by the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and a team of NCHDs at night.
Hours
37.5 hours a week and made up of 3 x 1 hour shifts as well as nights and weekends on rotation – 1 week in every 4 / 5
Duties include
Participate in the management of and be responsible for the day to day service of clinical care within area of responsibility.
Planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the service delivery.
Supervise and coordinate and lead a team of staff in the implementation and provision of the highest quality patient care.
Act as a role model by promoting best practice in the delivery of nursing care and provide clinical expertise and support within the inter disciplinary team.
Support, assist and facilitate colleagues in achieving specific Critical Success Factors as developed for the ward/unit/department.
Candidate Requirements
Current registration with NMBI.
Strong values and commitment to patient Safety & Quality.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a people management role essential.
Minimum 5 years post graduate acute care nursing experience.
Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills.
Management Qualification essential.
ACLS course completed, or be willing to undertake.
