Overview
We are currently looking for an Apprentice Electrical Craftsperson to join our Maintenance team based in Little Island on a 4-year apprenticeship program approved by SOLAS.
We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS), working across the Beverage, Nutrition, and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s major brands, including Gatorade, 7Up, and Pepsi. We are central to PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture over 1,200 recipes. Responsibilities
The Technical Function provides expertise in engineering, quality, and productivity, ensuring operational excellence and food safety. We are looking to enhance our technical team with new talent. Apprenticeship in Ireland, run with SOLAS, aims to train individuals to become qualified craftspeople. Upon successful completion of this Electrical Instrumentation apprenticeship, the apprentice will receive a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft – Electrical. This qualification opens doors to a rewarding career in a modern manufacturing setting.
The apprentice's role involves supporting the Maintenance Team in daily tasks, attending all required SOLAS training, and completing the craft curriculum. PepsiCo will facilitate learning opportunities and assess the apprentice's skills, knowledge, and competence as per the curriculum.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
* Successfully completed Leaving Certificate with at least 5 ordinary level subjects, including:
* Grade B or higher in at least one of the following subjects: Engineering, Technology, Construction Studies, Physics
* Minimum Grade C in Ordinary Level Maths/Applied Maths
* Pass the Ihsihara Colour Vision test

* Aptitude for using equipment and tools requiring precision
* Good manual dexterity and agility
* Interest in keeping up with technological advancements
* Ability to follow routine maintenance procedures
