About the Job
We are seeking a Senior Town Planner to join our Planning team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, urban development and waste.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Delivery: Prepare and submit planning applications, develop reports, feasibility assessments, masterplans, and strategic planning documents for various projects.
* Clients: Engage with clients from public and private sectors, including local authorities and developers.
* Team Collaboration: Contribute actively to delivering environmental projects and lead multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
* Client Interaction: Collaborate effectively within teams to support the execution and completion of projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A suitable candidate should have:
* Qualification: Degree or Master's in Town Planning.
* Experience: Minimum seven years' experience in town planning, preferably with corporate or chartered membership of IPI/RTPI.
* Skills: Extensive knowledge of planning and environmental legislation, ability to prepare and submit planning applications, draft reports, feasibility studies, masterplans, and planning strategies.
* Previous Experience: Proven track record of working with various client bodies, including private and public sectors.
* Leadership: Experience in overseeing and/or project managing multidisciplinary projects.
* Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
