Our client, a well-established, medium-sized law firm based in Limerick City Centre, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to manage the firm’s financial operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional ideally with experience in legal accounting/bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bank reconciliations for both client and office accounts
* Issuing computerised cheques and managing online banking transactions
* Preparing lodgements and handling banking duties
* Ensuring full compliance with Law Society of Ireland regulations
* Managing creditors’ invoices, payments, and cash flow reports
* Handling Revenue returns and monthly management accounts
* Preparing for Law Society inspections, Revenue audits, Quality Mark audits, and annual accounts audits
* Using Keyhouse software for accounting functions
Ideal Candidate:
* Ideally at least 3 years experience working in a solicitor’s practice or an accounting firm working with legal clients. This would be advantageous but not essential.
* Ideally knowledge of Law Society regulations and legal accounting procedures (advantageous but not essential)
* Proficiency in Keyhouse software beneficial (you will be trained if you don't have experience with the system)
* Ability to manage multiple financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency
* A qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance is advantageous but not essential if experience is relevant
