About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Part-Time Painter/Decorator/Maintenance Assistant to help keep our venue and exhibits in top condition. You will work closely with our Head of Facilities, ensuring our facilities remain safe, clean, and fully operational for visitors.
What You'll Be Doing
* Painting and decorating for both indoor and outdoor areas to keep the venue looking fresh
* Prepare surfaces, including sanding, filling, and priming.
* Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
* Work closely with the Maintenance team to plan and carry out refurbishments.
* Organise tools, equipment, and materials
* Follow health & safety standards and ensure safe use of materials and equipment, reporting any hazards or risks.
* Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks on interactive exhibits, building fixtures, public areas and general venue components
* Help maintain a clean and safe environment for visitors and staff
* Assist in fire safety procedures and equipment upkeep
* Open and close the venue when required in the absence of the Head of Facilities
* Grounds keeping duties, including maintaining the outdoor areas around the venue
* Litter picking and general upkeep of the surrounding grounds to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
What Makes You a Great Fit?
* Previous experience in painting/decorating and facility maintenance or upkeep (2 years minimum preferred)
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Awareness of health & safety regulations (including COSHH and cleaning protocols)
* Reliable, organised, and proactive team player
* Safepass certification (preferred)
* Ability to commute to Blackglen Road, Sandyford
* Permit to work in Ireland
* Good communication skills
* Weekend availability

* Part time position (Approx 15 hours per week) rostered over 7 days to include some weekends
