Advent Solutions are currently seeking Intellectual Disability Nurses to join our client an expanding Residential Services team. Successful candidates will play a central role in delivering holistic, compassionate care, supporting service users to achieve their potential in a safe, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out comprehensive health assessments and developing personalised care plans. Administering medications and prescribed treatments in line with professional standards. Supporting individuals with activities of daily living, personal care, and social participation. Promoting health, well-being, and independence for service users. Effectively managing and supporting behaviours that challenge. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including GPs, therapists, and social care staff to ensure high-quality, coordinated care. Advocating for the rights, dignity, and personal choices of each individual. Providing health education to service users, families, and staff. Maintaining accurate, confidential medical and care records. Requirements: A Nursing qualification with current registration with NMBI (R.N.I.D. qualification desirable). Experience in intellectual disability services is an advantage. Strong communication, leadership, and clinical skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, person-centred approach to care. Experience managing behaviours that challenge is highly desirable.
