Job Description
Post Summary: The School of Nursing & Midwifery is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor in Mental Health Nursing to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities in this field.
The successful candidate will have a developing profile in mental health nursing education and research and will support the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
This position arises in response to the continued growth and development of the mental health nursing discipline within the School, reflecting a strategic commitment to expanding capacity, enhancing expertise, and building on Trinity College Dublin's leadership in mental health nursing education and research.
The appointee will have opportunity to avail of an outstanding environment for education, research, and scholarly endeavour, and will be expected to engage with new innovations and research initiatives in the Discipline of Mental Health Nursing.
They will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources within the School and College to support their education, research, and scholarly activities.
The appointee will work closely with the Head of Discipline and other discipline members.
This is a five-year fixed term tenure track post.

Contract and Conditions
Post status: Tenure Track – This position is a Tenure Track position which is 5 years in the first instance; permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.
Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Salary Scale (€42,500 - €101,541 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
