Barden are delighted to be supporting our Client in their search for a Head of Finance to lead one of the key subsidiaries within a large group.
The business plays a critical role in the Group's geographic footprint, customer delivery and growth ambitions, and is entering an important phase of development.
The Head of Finance will act as a true business partner to the Managing Director and Group Finance Director and leadership team, helping to shape strategy, drive performance and support decision making, while also maintaining a strong, trusted relationship with Group HQ.
This is a hands on, high impact role suited to a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys being close to the business and its customers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Act as a key advisor to the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
Provide financial insight to support strategic planning, investment decisions, pricing and margin management.
Help shape and deliver the business strategy, balancing commercial ambition with financial discipline.
Support initiatives focused on customer delivery, operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
Work closely with functional leaders across the business to improve financial understanding, performance and accountability.
Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Challenge and support decision-making in a constructive, value-adding manner.
Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance, in line with Group policies.
Manage relationships with external advisors
Build a high-performance culture with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ensure the finance function is seen as a trusted partner to the wider business.
ABOUT THE PERSON
Qualified accountant with 8-10+ years post qualified experience
Strong experience in a commercial finance leadership role.
Proven ability to operate as a business partner.
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to influence at senior level.
A pragmatic, hands on approach and a genuine interest in the commercial drivers of the business.
