Circular Food Co is starting a major four year project focused on converting new food waste streams into functional ingredients. We are partnering with a leading Irish university on this project and are looking for a part-time Project Manager to help guide the work and ensure that the research leads to real commercial outcomes.This role will suit someone who understands both the technical and commercial sides of food ingredients. You will help translate research into commercially viable ingredient concepts, identify opportunities for new revenue streams, support industry trials and help shape potential IP.What you will do• Manage day to day coordination between Circular Food Co and project partners• Help steer research outputs toward commercial applications• Identify new opportunities for functional ingredients from emerging food waste streams• Support early customer conversations, trials and sampling• Assist with market analysis, technical documentation and funding progress reports• Keep the project aligned with timelines, deliverables and commercial potentialIdeal background• Experience in food ingredients, functional ingredients or food manufacturing• Strong commercial understanding of B2B ingredients or NPD• Comfortable working with research teams or technical departments• Ability to evaluate commercial potential and help shape market opportunities• Organised, proactive and able to manage a long term multi stakeholder projectDetails• Part-time role with flexible working• Four year fixed term contract• Remote with occasional travel to the university partner or industry sites• Reporting into the founders of Circular Food Co.
