Failte Solar is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Specialist
to join our growing and experienced Finance team and play and part an important part in asustainable energy future.
The role is based in Shannon and has an immediate start (onsite with some remote working possible).

This exciting role encompasses various facets of supply chain management, focusing on demand forecasting, inventory strategy, systems integration, cross-functional collaboration, KPI tracking, procurement, and ISO implementation. Each section highlights the key responsibilities and processes necessary to optimize operations. Here's a brief summary of these components:
Demand Forecasting
To predict future product demand, it's essential to collect historical data and analyze customer trends, collaborating closely with sales representatives. Utilizing statistical models will help identify patterns, while ongoing monitoring ensures accuracy in forecasting tailored to each product.
Inventory Strategy
Managing inventory effectively requires implementing processes that align with ISO 9001:2025 standards. This includes categorizing inventory using a 9-block model to focus on high-value and unpredictable items, conducting ABC analysis for cycle counting, and resolving discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
Systems
The integration of new ERP systems is crucial for enhancing supply chain management capabilities. Training documentation generation and cross-functional training facilitate effective use of this software, while data analysis can drive performance improvements and foster automation where applicable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaboration with sales, finance, and operations ensures alignment between procurement, inventory, and forecasting activities with customer needs and broader business objectives. Clear communication among stakeholders is vital for success.
KPI Tracking and Presentation
Regular meetings to monitor KPIs related to operations, inventory control, and sales keep all team members informed. Updating data in Power BI databases ensures timely and accurate reporting, promoting continuous improvement processes.
Procurement
Establishing and tracking supplier performance KPIs helps manage vendor relationships and mitigate potential supply chain issues. Monthly communication ensures transparency and addresses any performance concerns that may arise.
ISO Implementation
Active participation in the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 certification will require collaboration across facilities to document and refine processes. Conducting regular reviews and audits will help maintain compliance and drive quality improvements.
This framework sets a solid foundation for managing supply chain dynamics effectively while adhering to quality standards and fostering collaboration across departments.
DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS?
* Previous experience in a similar position of at least 5 years.
* Knowledge and understanding of supply chain management and procurement.
* Appropriate supply chain qualifications.
* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially within excel and word.
* Experience with Power BI etc
