Overview:
The primary responsibility of a Project Quantity Surveyor is to provide expert cost control and advice to design teams and clients. This involves pre-contract cost planning, estimating, and preparing bills of quantities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-contract cost control and advice to design teams and clients.
2. Prepare pre-contract documents, including tender documentation and contract awards.
3. Perform post-contract functions, including interim recommendations, cost reporting, and final account reconciliations on diverse projects.
4. Estimate and cost plan for projects, preparing detailed budgets and forecasts.
5. Compile contract documentation, prepare cost reports, and monthly valuations.
6. Attend meetings with clients and design team members, providing updates on project progress and costs.
7. Train staff and resolve contractual claims efficiently.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in quantity surveying or a related role.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with industry software and technology.
