Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Operations Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our forecourt site.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing retail sites, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and controlling costs. They must be able to lead the recruitment, training, and development of high-quality personnel, as well as manage the overall performance of the site.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure efficient day-to-day operations and effective communication between teams
* The recruitment, training, and development of high-quality personnel for all departments within the store
* Oversee rostering and general management of personnel to ensure adequate cover while maintaining quality service to customers
* Manage the overall performance of the site, driving operations to maximise results
* Generate financial reports, analyse them, and report any discrepancies to relevant departments
* Ensure cost control and minimisation where appropriate
* Take full care of Health & Safety of all personnel and customers, ensuring risks are minimised or eliminated
* Implement and maintain Forecourt Health & Safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
* Proven experience in large forecourt or convenience background
* Excellent operational knowledge of retail environment
* Proven track record in achieving agreed targets
* Working knowledge of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP, and Consumer Law
* Strong commercial acumen with ability to anticipate and react to market changes
