About the Role As a Contracts Manager, youll act as the senior lead across multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Youll work closely with clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive performance, maintain compliance, and achieve project and company objectives.
What Youll Be Doing: Leadership & Project Delivery Lead project teams throughout all phases, ensuring alignment with company values and operational standards.
Oversee day-to-day project performance, ensuring safety, quality, and programme targets are consistently met.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and supply chain partners.
Pre-Construction Develop comprehensive project delivery plans covering design, H&S, procurement, logistics, programme, and quality.
Coordinate with statutory bodies and stakeholders ahead of project commencement.
Work with senior management to allocate resources and define project strategies.
Construction & Design Management Manage project execution in line with approved plans and company procedures.
Lead subcontractor engagement, including pre-award meetings, progress reviews, and performance monitoring.
Prepare and maintain baseline programmes, short-term schedules, and progress reports.
Ensure adequate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor resources are in place.
Monitor financial performance from start to completion, including defects management.
Chair regular site meetings and attend client or design meetings as required.
Ensure all contractual communications and documentation are issued accurately and on time.
Quality & Handover Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure compliance with quality procedures.
Oversee snagging, close-out activities, and the defects liability period.
Support continuous improvement and contribute to achieving company KPIs.
What Were Looking For Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in construction or civil engineering.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent understanding of construction processes, design coordination, and project controls.
Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Solid commercial awareness and understanding of contractual obligations.
