OverviewWe are seeking an experienced QA Consultant to join a cross-functional product and engineering team on a 6–12 month contract. This role is ideal for a hands-on quality professional who can operate autonomously, influence quality practices, and support my client in preclinical development. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery while continuously improving test strategies, tooling, and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive end-to-end quality assurance activities across multiple workstreamsDefine and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned to business and technical requirementsExecute manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, UAT support)Collaborate closely with developers in Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectivesIdentify, log, track, and validate defects, working proactively to ensure timely resolutionChampion quality best practices, risk-based testing, and continuous improvementSupport CI/CD pipelines with automated tests where applicableProvide clear test reporting, quality metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholdersRequired Experience & Skills5+ years' experience in a QA / Test Analyst / QA Consultant roleStrong experience working in Agile environmentsProven ability to design and execute robust test strategiesSolid hands-on manual testing expertiseExperience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail)Good understanding of SDLC, APIs, and modern web applicationsExcellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge constructivelyComfortable working in a hybrid, consultative contract roleSeniority level Director Employment type Contract Job function Quality Assurance Industries Biotechnology Research
