Project Engineer – Process Equipment & Utilities Projects
Asset Recruitment is proud to present this opportunity with our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company.
They are seeking a Project Engineer – Process Equipment & Utilities Projects to play a key role at their Bray site.
Role:
Project Engineer/Manager with experience delivering end-to-end projects in pharmaceutical solid oral dose drug product manufacturing.
Leads and manages medium- to large-scale capital projects in accordance with established project management standards, ensuring compliance with financial, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Project implementation areas include pharmaceutical processing equipment and associated utilities.
Accountabilities include:
Manage capital projects of varying complexity across organizational boundaries and is responsible for their successful delivery.
Ensure projects are conducted at the highest quality, within time and budget, and that the risk level is managed per the company's procedures and stakeholder expectations.
Coordinate and oversee project execution related activities through the full lifecycle, from initiation to handover.
Responsible for meeting project scope requirements, schedule requirements, and costs.
Coordinates all stakeholders, facilitates problem solving sessions and/or other planning sessions and overall business strategy.
Ensures appropriate safety measures are taken to prevent injuries and minimize safety risks.
Takes a proactive approach to safety.
Ensures readiness for inspections within area of responsibility, together with quality organizations and compliance with rules and regulations of procurement and accounting.
Technical/Functional Expertise
Specific projects to be executed are generally in the Processing area and include:
Upgrade to high speed Capsule Filling equipment to accommodate granule handling
New product introductions (NPI) in the drug product environment
Upgrades to process equipment utilities & associated plant
Replacement of fixed IBC lifting equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related technical field (Engineering degree preferred)
10+ years' experience in managing projects or programs through the full lifecycle, with total budgets up to €3M
Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry and in a large company environment and working and communicating globally
Hands-on attitude (role will involve supervision of installation activities on the shop floor)
Management of contractors & suppliers for site works
Strong financial and business acumen and Knowledge of scheduling and cost estimation/controlling.
Decision-making, stakeholder management and strategic thinking skills
High facilitation and presentation skillset
Self-motivated and capable of analyzing and solving complex problems.
Risk focused and with high Quality & EHS awareness
Leadership and problem-solving skills
Certified PM according by IPMA or PMI is an advantage
