Mobile Support Engineer
We are seeking experienced engineers to fill the role of Mobile Support Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving vehicle faults, performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in depots or garages, while building relationships with customers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent mechanical skills. You will be working as part of a team, providing on-site technical support and ensuring timely issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose root cause failures and estimate repair costs.
* Use industry equipment and manuals to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
* Provide on-site technical support and ensure timely issue resolution.
* Oversee warranty repairs and promote services and parts to customers.
* Act as the interface between Regional Service Managers and customer workshop operatives.
* Complete necessary paperwork and meet company standards.
* Perform other duties for the effective operation of the post.
Essential Skills:
* NVQ level 3 / City and Guilds in Heavy Vehicle/PSV engineering.
* 1 year experience in engineering, heavy vehicle/PSV environments, dealerships, or fleets.
* Strong mechanical skills and technical background.
* Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently or in teams.
* Will to travel to various locations.
