The Maintenance Person will handle general building and property maintenance, including routine upkeep of pools, hot tubs, boiler rooms, HVAC units, drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and silicone application. Responsibilities also include replacing light bulbs and fixtures, responding to guest maintenance requests, and working with hand and power tools in compliance with WHMIS Health and Safety standards, including PPE usage.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma/GED
* 2 years of maintenance experience
* At least 1 year in building operation and maintenance
* Availability for overtime as needed
DUTIES:
* Drywall repairs and caulking
* Basic plumbing repairs
* Knowledge of heating units and air conditioners (PTAC units)
* Seasonal outdoor landscaping
* Regular property inspections
* Vandalism cleanup and repairs within skill level
* Maintaining HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, fans, control panels, thermostats, cooling towers
* Environmental safeguards and alarm systems maintenance
* Fire alarm and extinguisher maintenance
* Outdoor grounds maintenance (snow, ice, debris removal, weed control, gutter cleaning, sprinkler system upkeep)
* Fault detection and reporting
* Interior and exterior surface painting and decorating
APPLICABLE SKILLS:
* Small repairs capability
* Carpentry and refinishing skills preferred
* Effective communication at all levels
* Knowledge of cleaning products
* Strong customer service skills
* Interaction with management, staff, and guests
* Ability to stand long periods
* Ability to lift/move at least 25 pounds
* Willingness to obtain Pool Operator's Course from AHS
