Responsibilities
Lead or contribute to technology M&A projects such as technology diligence, tech-focused separation/integration planning, and value creation/cost improvement.
Assist in deal origination, including pitches and presentations.
Work in client engagement teams executing Strategy and Transactions services that support key decision makers in developing and executing technology strategies for transactions.
Demonstrate strong business and technical acumen on projects to drive value for clients.
Continuously upskill your capabilities and stay well-versed in emerging technologies and trends including AI, cloud computing and their application in driving value for our clients/EY teams.
Contribute to practice development initiatives, act as a role model for junior team members, and support learning, recruitment and training responsibilities.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have 3-5 years of professional services/consulting experience within Transactions ideally technology diligence, carve out, integrations and value creation/cost improvement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience of producing high-calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership.
Proven experience across one or more of the following areas:
Technology strategy
Systems and architecture review (including ERP, CRM, middleware, front and back-office systems)
Infrastructure analysis (covering data center, cloud, network design)
Technology operating model (e.g. nearshoring/off shoring, SDLC, technology organization composition, data and innovation, supplier contracts and governance processes)
Cybersecurity review and assessment (e.g. security posture, identity and access management, application security, data protection, vulnerability and patch management)
Technology financials (operational and capital expenditure analysis, stranded cost modelling, standalone/run rate cost adjustments, one-off cost calculation)
Strong analytical skills with ability to link operational analysis to financials, and understand the implications of findings to client strategy and needs.
Successful track record of technology project delivery with a strong ability to own and manage discrete workstream packages and deliverables.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in building strong relationships with clients and team members fostering a collaborative working environment, particularly in teams with diverse backgrounds.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Domain experience in one or more of the following industries: consumer goods and retail, industrials and mobility, energy and resources, financial services, healthcare and life science, technology, media and telecommunications.
Strong ability to leverage AI and productivity tools as needed.
Relevant certification (e.g. TOGAF) would be an asset.
