This is an exciting time in the development of the hospital. We are currently developing the adjacent Hotel premises and will convert the building to become an expansion of the hospital facilities. This will increase our inpatient beds from 181 up to 251 and increase our operating theatres from 8 to 12. We will also be more than doubling the size of our Emergency Department and expanding our Oncology centre. In early April 2024, the group was purchased in full by Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) a European Infrastructure Fund from our current shareholders. About the team: The Finance team plays a critical role within the organisation, overseeing all financial and tax reporting to the Board and Senior Management. In addition to statutory and compliance responsibilities, the team manages core operational functions including Payroll and Accounts Payable. The Role: We are looking for a driven and inquisitive Tax and Statutory Accountant to join our Financial Controlling team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role offering broad exposure across the Group. The successful candidate will be Big 4 trained, holding both tax and accounting qualifications, and will take ownership of key areas including tax compliance and statutory reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the confidence to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Core responsibilities: Lead and manage all tax heads across the Group, including compliance for VAT, PSWT, Corporation Tax, and RTD filings, while maintaining up-to-date Transfer Pricing documentation and ensuring full adherence to Irish tax legislation. Own the day-to-day relationship with external tax advisors, supporting strategic tax planning initiatives, technical reviews, and risk mitigation. Prepare and manage statutory financial statements for approximately 10 entities under FRS 102, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Coordinate CSO filings and statutory submissions, maintaining compliance with regulatory deadlines. Oversee intercompany recharge mechanisms, ensuring proper documentation, accounting treatment, and alignment with transfer pricing policies. Manage non-trading entities, including oversight of governance and execution of wind-down processes in collaboration with Company Secretary. Support the onboarding of new pharmacy location, ensuring tax registration, accounting setup, and integration into Group reporting. Assist with the annual audit, preparing relevant documentation and supporting the Financial Controller in managing auditor queries. Own and manage designated P&L cost lines, including monthly analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting.
