Exam Venue Coordinator Role
Unijobs is currently expanding the panel of Exam Venue Coordinators for a prominent educational institution.
This role involves contributing to the smooth and fair administration of examinations. As an Exam Venue Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing exam centers and upholding the integrity of exams.

* Previous experience as an invigilator in an Irish educational institution is a prerequisite for this role.
Exam Venue Coordinators must problem solve quickly and exercise their judgment, knowing when issues require escalation to the central exams office. Meticulous attention to detail and excellent punctuality are essential qualities.
Successful applicants will be added to a current invigilation panel available for end-of-term and term-time assessments only. They may be assigned to any of the invigilation roles available in the institution (Invigilator, Assistant Exam Venue Coordinator, or Exam Venue Coordinator), depending on the needs of the exam centers.
The assignment will be specified when the invigilation schedules are released a number of weeks in advance of each exam sitting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the smooth running of all exams in their assigned venue in line with examination regulations and procedures.
* Coordinate the work of junior and postgraduate exam invigilators in the assigned examination venue.
* Complete all necessary examination paperwork fully and accurately in line with institutional regulations and procedures.
Deal with students and staff in a sensitive and compassionate manner, in full compliance with dignity and respect policies.
Ensure exam invigilators understand their role in relation to all assigned duties, including the breach of assessment regulations process.
Attend hearings related to the breach of assessment regulations process.
Ensure students are allocated an exam space and receive clear instructions on fire hazards and exam protocol.
Ensure examinations commence, continue, and conclude in an orderly and timely manner.
Deal with deviations from exam procedures/regulations in a professional manner in line with exam regulations.
Supervise students departing examination venues, ensuring that equipment or stationery is not removed without authorization.
Collect and collate scripts at the end of the examination in strict accordance with procedures.
Assist with any situation that may arise in the exam hall, e.g., a student becomes ill or in the event of an exam hall evacuation.
Observe students vigilantly during examinations by moving through the venue to ensure they comply with regulations.
Report any queries or issues by completing relevant reports in advance of submission to the central exams office.
Undertake all tasks as needed to ensure that examinations are conducted in a fair and appropriate manner, ensuring compliance with institutional regulations and guidelines.
This role is physically demanding and requires standing/walking for extended periods to supervise exam centers.
