Responsibilities
The Trade Counter Sales Assistant will play a key role in driving sales and delivering excellent customer service. Duties will include:
1. Advising trade and retail customers on a wide range of products and recommending solutions to meet their needs;
2. Managing sales transactions accurately and securely;
3. Handling customer queries in-store, by phone, and by email in a professional and timely manner;
4. Assisting with merchandising, restocking, and maintaining attractive product displays;
5. Supporting stock control processes, including cycle counts and inventory checks;
6. Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Criteria
14. Previous experience in trade counter sales, retail, or customer service;
15. Strong enthusiasm for sales and building lasting customer relationships;
16. A background in hardware, construction, or building supplies would be highly advantageous;
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
18. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team;
19. Flexible, organised, and customer-focused.
