Communications Specialist Job Description
Emerald Locums is seeking a dedicated and experienced Communications Specialist to work with children and families across the Midlands region.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will work as part of supportive multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality assessment and intervention services. The role involves providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children presenting with a range of communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with families and professionals.
* Liaise effectively with colleagues across disciplines including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, and Social Work.
* Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
* Participate in ongoing professional development, team meetings, and service improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist (essential).
* Recognised degree in Speech & Language Therapy.
* Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience working with children.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
* Car and full driving licence preferred (community travel may be required).
