Trade Counter Sales Executive Our client a building materials supplier is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Executive to join their team. Youll be the key point of contact for all walk-in customers at the trade counter, providing product advice, processing orders, and ensuring an excellent customer experience every time. Location:Cork City Salary: €34,000 €36,000 Hours:Permanent, Full-time | MondayFriday, 8am5pm (4:30pm finish on Fridays) Key Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for all customer collections and walk-ins at the trade counter. Deliver excellent customer service in person, by phone, and via email handling enquiries, payments, and resolving issues. Process sales orders, dispatch notes, invoices, and related documentation using internal systems. Maintain accurate daily reports and manage admin tasks such as POD folders and order tracking. Support customer accounts by coordinating with Sales and Business Development teams. Run monthly trade counter promotions to drive sales and customer engagement. Assist with hire sales and returns, stock returns, and liaise with the purchasing team to manage inventory levels. Build relationships with local contractors and walk-in customers to grow the customer base. Attend training sessions to stay informed on products and services. Work closely with the wider depot and head office teams to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to all health & safety and company procedures, contributing to a positive and professional team environment. Qualifications & Experience: 1+ years experience in an administrative role. Trade counter or building materials experience is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills youll be dealing with customers face-to-face daily. Comfortable using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in handling tasks. Friendly, personable, and eager to contribute to a close-knit, high-performing team.
