A well-established main contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team at Head Office in North Dublin, working across a range of residential construction projects. This role is ideal for an experienced estimator ready to step into a senior or chief estimator role, with full responsibility for tendering and pricing. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for tenders and live projects. Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates. Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams to gather cost inputs and ensure alignment. Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes. Evaluate risk and propose value engineering options to improve bid competitiveness. Contribute to bid presentations and client negotiations as required. Provide strategic input on pricing, programme, and buildability during tender stage. Mentor junior estimators and assist in training/development of the pre-construction team. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. 7+ years of estimating experience in general construction, preferably with a main contractor. Proven track record delivering competitive tenders for medium to large-scale projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, pricing structures, and commercial risk management. Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Buildsoft, Cubit, or similar).
